Yvonne "Bonnie" Holmer

“Bonnie” Yvonne Gladys Holmer, age 76, of Vergas, passed away peacefully under the care of the Frazee Care Center and Hospice of the Red River Valley on Thursday December 5, 2024.

Bonnie was born on June 18, 1948, to Clarence and Rosa (Shriver) Mindermann in Perham, MN. Bonnie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee. Bonnie graduated from the Frazee High School and shortly after graduation she was united in marriage to Donald Ueke Sr. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee, from this union came their only child Regi (Donald Jr.). Upon divorce, Bonnie moved back to Frazee and dated Jack Holmer, they were united in marriage in July of 2003. Jack passed away shortly after their marriage.

Bonnie worked several jobs throughout her life, with the most recent being Frazee Care Center in the laundry/housekeeping department. Bonnie enjoyed bowling, cooking and baking and being around friends.

Bonnie loved her family, especially her only grandchild, Brayden. When he was little you would see her pushing him around Frazee in his stroller, later she would show pictures of him to all.

Bonnie loved an always looked forward to the Wagenman Farm for Holidays and family get togethers, because she always would get goodies and pickles from Debby.

Bonnie lived in Frazee most of her life until moving to Vergas to be closer to Regi, Rhonda and Brayden in 2019.

Bonnie is survived by her son Regi (Rhonda) Ueke, and grandson Brayden. Siblings Carolyn (Jim) Kyte, Perham, Marilyn Eggebrect, Duluth, Kathy Klever Henning, and Jerry (Sharon) Mindermann, Dilworth. Sister-in-law Fritzi Mindermann, Iowa. Several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Brother-in-law Butch (Gladys) Holmer, Frazee.

Preceding her in death husband, Jack Holmer; Her parents, Clarence and Rosa Mindermann; Brother, Harold Mindermann; Sister, Evie Perrine; Brother-in-Law, Harvey Kleaver; Brother-in-law, Jim Eggebrect; Stepdad, Harold Kickland; Mother-in-law, Ada Holmer; Sister-in-law Barb Holmer; and Brother-in-law, Walt Holmer. 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday December 17, 2024, at 11a.m. Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Frazee.
