The funeral services for Violet Alice Palmer, 93, Frazee, MN, will be Monday, April 6, 2009, at 11 a.m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Evergreen, rural Frazee, MN, with Reverend Anthony Cloose officiating. Burial will follow the service at the church cemetery. Visitation is scheduled at Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, MN on Sunday, April 5th, from 4-7 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Violet died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at the Frazee Care Center surrounded by her children.
Violet Alice Frank was born May 13, 1915 in Evergreen, Minnesota to Gottfried and Lena (Boehne) Frank. She spent her entire life in Evergreen. On September 3, 1942, she married George Palmer. Violet was a member of St. Paul's Evergreen Ladies Aide. She enjoyed gardening, canning, traveling, listening to old-time music and dancing. Being with family and friends were always very special times for Violet.
She is survived by five children, Alice Derke, Janice (Tom) Tupper, Joyce Palmer, Dennis Palmer and Karen Palmer; four grandchildren, Scott (Laura) Derke, Susan Anderson, Jeff (Trudy) Tupper and Brian Tupper; eleven great grandchildren, Cory Derke, Cassandra (Luke) Zuelke, Derek, Ben and Gina Anderson, Nicole, Noah and Lauren Tupper and Elliot and Wyatt Tupper; and two great, great grandchildren, Lake and Aspyn Zuelke.
Preceding Violet in death are her husband George; siblings Selma Radel, Wanda Quittschreiber, Bertha Quittschreiber, Hattie Thelen, Albert Frank, Walter Frank, Emil Frank, Elmer Frank, Ed Frank, Alvin Frank, Leonard Frank, and Arthur Frank; a
son-in-law Bill Derke; her parents Gottfried and Lena Frank, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
