Susan Steinke

It is with great sadness that the family of Susan Lorraine Steinke announces her passing after a brief illness, on Saturday, February 3, 2018, at the age of 63 years.

Susan was born on May 21, 1954 to Leo and Carrie Rogers in Park Rapids, MN.  She grew up on the family farm and attended school in Park Rapids until graduating in 1972.  She then attended Bemidji State University where she earned a degree in education.

Susan, along with her family, made Montevideo, MN home for many years until returning to the Park Rapids area about 15 years ago.  She enjoyed spending time outdoors and going for walks at her Osage, MN home.

Susan is survived by her sons: David (Sarah) Stone of Moorhead, MN and Ryan Steinke of Osage, MN; granddaughters: Sylvia and Eliza of Moorhead, MN; sister: Darla Miklavcich of Hibbing, MN; brothers: Dale (Karen) Rogers of Park Rapids, MN and Leon Rogers of Park Rapids, MN; sisters-in-law: Rita Rogers of Park Rapids, MN and Connie Rogers of Menahga, MN; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers: Walter Rogers and Gary Rogers; brother-in-law: Jerry Miklavcich; nieces: Malissa Rogers and Rhonda Rogers.

A memorial service will be held in the Spring 2018.
