Raynold Rudolph Kratzke, age 91, died Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the Perham Health.
Raynold was born on July 15, 1930 in Dora Township, Minnesota, the son of Otto and Juliana (Potz) Kratzke. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Loon Lake Church, in Vergas, Minnesota. Raynold attended school district 138 for all 8 grades.
Growing up on the farm, he ended up doing more and more of the work as he grew older. He lived on the farm and was still doing some of the tractor work in 2018 at the age of 88, sleeping in the room he had been born in. After selling the milk cows he worked for AMPI at the Pelican Rapids Transfer Station, for over 20 years retiring at the age of 82. Raynold lived his entire life in Dora Township, and was a supervisor on the town board for 21 years.
On February 28, 1964 he married Pamala Woodall at St. Paul’s Loon Lake Church. Family was very important to him, from working together with his brothers on their farm, spreading manure, buzzing up wood, combining oats to chopping corn. He was loved by many nieces and nephews, and loved seeing his sons, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Music was also a big part of his life playing the accordion and piano, playing with his nephew Melvin for many decades. They played together in many local nursing homes and care centers, until 2019.
Raynold loved Jesus and it showed in his concern for others, in fact the last few month he could not read anymore from the Bible, but he continued to pray for his family and loved ones to the end.
He is survived by Pamala, sons: Michael (Sharon) of rural Vergas, Joel (Valerie) of Bemidji, Richard (Hilary) of Devils Lake, North Dakota; grandchildren: Jonathan (Heidi) Kratzke, Anna (Kurt) Hall, Julia (Robert) Isakson, Grace Kratzke, Victoria (Bezzi) Lizzi, Morgan Laite, Jeremiah Kratzke; great grandchildren: Asher, Mercy, Honor, Ezekiel Isakson, Josiah, Zoe, and Leo Kratzke, John, Joyelle, Emily and Gloria Hall.
Raynold was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; William, Rudolph, Bernard, Raymond, Clarence, Fred; sisters; Olga, Emma, Ann, and Adeline.
