Pauline Violet Jahnke, age 70, of Frazee, MN, passed away Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at the Frazee Care Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral services for Pauline will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 24, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church - Height of Land, Frazee, MN.
Burial will take place at the St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015, at Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, MN with a prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday.
Pauline Violet Jahnke, daughter of Lawrence and Joyce (Winslow) Adams, was born in Perham, Minnesota, on June 22, 1944. She grew up and attended school in Detroit Lakes, MN, graduating with the class of 1962, as an Honor Student being 12th in her class. She attended Detroit Lakes Business College. She worked at Warner and Company Insurance in Fargo, North Dakota after graduation. She then worked at First National Bank, Detroit Lakes, MN, Multi-County Nursing Service, Detroit Lakes, MN, and Pizza Hut, Detroit Lakes, MN for 14 years.
She was united in marriage to Edgar Jahnke, Jr. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Height of Land, Frazee, MN on August 1, 1964. She enjoyed writing poetry, drawing and oil painting.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Height of Land, Frazee, for many years where she was a member of the Ladies' Guild and Lutheran Women's Missionary League for 36 years.
Surviving are her husband, Edgar of Frazee; two sons: Brian of Detroit Lakes, and Keith (Melody) of Frazee; one daughter, Tina (Michael) Mickelson of Moorhead; 5 grandchildren: Hannah Mickelson, Evan Mickelson, Hunter Mickelson, Gabriel Jahnke and Gavin Jahnke; one brother, George Adams of Sunnyvale, CA; 2 brothers-in-law, Norman (Bernice) Jahnke of Deer Creek, MN and Marlin Jahnke of Frazee, MN; sister-in-law, JoAnn (Tim) Alcott of Frazee; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Preceding Pauline in death were her parents, Lawrence and Joyce (Winslow) Adams; and sister-in-law, Shirley Adams.
