Pamela Bahls

Pamela L. Bahls, age 62, Frazee, MN, died Friday, March 13, 2020 at her home.

Pamela Louise Bahls was born June 3, 1957 in Hastings, MN to Richard and Bernice (Rietz) Klegin.  She attended Whitticker School in St. Paul, MN.  When she was 14, her family moved to Vergas, MN.  Pam is a 1975 graduate of Perham High School.  Following her graduation, she worked for the Swift Turkey Plant and for the Frazee Care Center, both in Frazee.  Pam was united in marriage to Kermit Bahls in 1974 in Detroit Lakes.  She then attended the nursing program at the Detroit Lakes A. V. T. I.  Following the completion of her nurses training, she worked for the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.  For the last 16 years of her working life, she was employed at Walmart in Detroit Lakes.

Pam enjoyed interacting with her customers at Walmart. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and embroidering. She liked to visit the MN State Parks and Tamarac, where she enjoyed watching the wildlife, as well as looking at the trees and flowers.

Survivors include her husband, Kermit of Frazee; a son, Jason of Frazee; brothers and sisters: Mark Klegin of Vergas, MN, Cynthia (Becky) Taylor of Anchorage, Alaska, Sue (Rick) Fresonke of Perham, Keith (Lenore) Klegin of Perham and Bill (Nicole) Wandrie of Crookston, MN; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Pam Bahls will be 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 17 at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee.  A private family service will be held at a later date. www.fureyfh.com
