Orlynn Ann Hanson was born May 25, 1943 in Moorhead, Minnesota, the daughter of Earnest and Pearl (Glover) Benson. She passed away September 9, 2021 at the Frazee Care Center.
She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith and grew up in the Rochert area. Orlynn graduated from Detroit Lakes High School with the class of 1961.
In 1963, she was united in marriage to LeRoy Galbrecht in South Dakota. To this union three children were born and they made their home in Frazee. Orlynn was a homemaker, daycare mom, did seamstress work, and when the kids were young was a 4-H leader. Leroy passed away in 1977.
On July 5, 1985, Orlynn was united in marriage to Dwayne Hanson in Frazee. She worked at the Frazee Care Center and drove clients and patients on the People Express Van for over 30 years. Orlynn was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and sang in the church choir. She belonged to the birthday club, quilting club and enjoyed playing cards.
Orlynn liked doing crafts, going on 4-wheeler trips, and mowing grass with her tractor, but her true passion was horses. She loved horse-riding and caring for them on her horse farm and was truly the “horse lady” of Frazee.
