Mildred "Middy" Lehmann, age 86, of Frazee, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, at the Frazee Care Center surrounded by her family.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, February 16, 2017, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Evergreen. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 15, 2017, at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Burial will be made at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Mildred was born March 10, 1930, to John and Pearl Kubista in Brampton, ND. She married Forrest Lehmann on October 19, 1947. They started a family: Gerald "Jerry", Sharon, Marlene, Karen, Russell, David, Keith, Kurt, Tammy and DeeAnn. Sharon was born in Britton, South Dakota, and the rest of the family was born at St. John's Hospital in Fargo, ND. They moved the family to Frazee in 1971.
Mildred enjoyed raising her family, cooking, sewing, gardening and babysitting. In 1993, she moved to River Crest Apartments in Frazee where she enjoyed playing cards, visiting with neighbors at the Blue Building and the White Pine Room, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mildred is survived by her children: Jerry (Ann) of Wadena, MN, Sharon Beck of Detroit Lakes, MN, Karen Beaty of Minneapolis, MN, Russell of Perham, MN, Keith of Detroit Lakes, MN, Kurt (Karen) of Vergas, MN, and Tammy (Marvin) Byer of Frazee; son-in-law, Ronnie Dahlsad of Detroit Lakes; 25 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and one on the way; and 1 brother, Earl Kubista of Foreman, ND.
Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Forrest Lehmann; 2 daughters: Marlene Lehmann and Dee Ann Dahlsad; 1 son, David Lehmann; 1 grandson, Samuel Byer; 2 great grandsons: Reed Bachmann and Chase Lehmann; 2 sons-in-law: Roy Beck Jr., and James Beaty; 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
