Merton N. Brooks, age 93, of Vergas, MN passed away November 14, 2009, at the Frazee Care Center. Preceded in death by parents Ernest and Carrie Brooks, brothers Myron and Howard. Survived by nephew Roger E. Brooks (Nancy), nieces Twila Brooks Coleman (Donavon), Beryl Brooks Maw, Beth Brooks Jurgenson. A life long resident of Vergas, Merton enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling, golf and was for many years, a celebrated member of the Vergas baseball teams. A memorial service is scheduled for 11 am, Monday, November 23, 2009, at the Vergas United Methodist Church, 200 W. Main Street, Vergas, MN.
