Marrieann Martha Marschall, age 81, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2020 at Oak Crossing of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.
Marrieann was born on November 9, 1938 in Perham, Minnesota, the daughter of Emil and Annie (Weidemann) Rux. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Evergreen, Minnesota.
On April 6, 1960, Marrieann was united in marriage to Harlan Marschall.
Marrieann worked at the Perham Egg Plant, was a Home Health Aid and L&H Mickelson’s Turkey Farm until her retirement in 2001.
Marrieann enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family and friends. She loved cooking and baking, she even made her own wedding cake as she did many family and friends. She enjoyed gardening and embroidering blocks for quilts.
She is survived by her children: Tammy Marschall of Detroit Lakes, MN, Jean (Marvin) Jepson of Grand Rapids, MN, Clinton (Michelle) Marschall of Upland, CA, Diane Marschall of Hermantown, MN, Gary (Lisa) Marschall of Menahga, MN. Marrieann has three grandsons and eight granddaughters. She was also blessed with three great-granddaughters and ten great-grandsons including one coming in September. Her sisters: Alice (Delmar) Peterson of Menahga, MN, Shirley (Ernie) Jepson of Frazee, MN, Violet (David) Riggle of Richwood, MN, Sharon (Randy) Eikom of Tolna, ND. Her brothers: Fritz (Mert) Rux of Blue River, OR, Ed (Ardis) Rux of Frazee, MN, George (Diane) Rux of Perham, MN. In-laws: Darlene (Elmer) Bruns of West St. Paul, MN, George (Lenore) Marschall of Topeka, KS, Shirley (Gordon) Parks of Madison, IN, Ronald Marschall of Fargo, ND, Sharon (Bob) Burgess of Fredicktown, PA, and Klonda (Joe) Budetich of Charleston, SC.
Marrieann was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan in November 1997; her parents: Emil and Annie Rux, brothers-in-law: Delmar Peterson, Paul Marschall, Elmer Bruns, and sisters-in-law: Mert Rux and Shirley Parks.
Public memorial service will be held at a later date.
Private family interment will take place at St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery Evergreen on May 2, 2020.
