Mark Quittschreiber

Mark Roger Quittschreiber, age 44, life-long Frazee, MN resident, passed away unexpectedly at this home on Saturday, December 10, 2016.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 17, 2016, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Evergreen. A time of visitation will begin one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will be made at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Cemetery at a later date.

Mark was born October 8, 1972, in Perham, MN, to Roger and DeeAnn (Kohler) Quittschreiber. Mark grew up on the family farm in rural Frazee. From an early age, Mark showed great interest in farming and loved every aspect of farm life. Mark also found solace in the outdoors and cut lots of firewood during his younger years. His hard work led to the purchase of his first farm at a young age. Mark attended Frazee High School where he participated in wrestling and FFA. He graduated with the class of 1992.

Following high school, Mark worked a few jobs away from the farm, but his passion for farm life brought him back to his roots. He worked on the family farm for a number of years before purchasing his own farm. Mark loved animals and tended livestock for many years. Mark raised crops and appreciated the smell of newly turned soil and freshly cut hay.

Though life on the farm kept him busy, Mark was an avid sportsman and hunted goose, coon, duck and deer; spent many winters snowmobiling with friends; and occasionally fished during winter and summer months with his family.

Mark will always be remembered for his hearty laugh and great sense of humor. He was known to pull good-spirited practical jokes on family members and friends. Mark was a loyal friend and maintained many close friendships. He had a great love for his family; and especially enjoyed time he spent with his 3 nephews.

Mark was a baptized and confirmed member at St. Paul's Lutheran Church – Evergreen.

Mark is survived by his parents: Roger and DeeAnn (Kohler) Quittschreiber of Frazee; 1 sister: Tracey (David) Treinen; 3 nephews/Godsons: Nicholas, Alex and Matthew Treinen all of Menahga; special friend, Stacy Storey of St. Frances, MN; cousin, Justin (Candy Bachmeier) Puttbrese of Frazee, MN; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many great friends.

Preceding Mark in death were his paternal grandparents: Leonard and Ellen Quittschreiber; maternal grandparents: Archie and Anna Kohler; 2 uncles: Jerry Quittschreiber and Steve Kohler; and 2 cousins: Andy Huwe and Amanda Bergstrom.
