The funeral services for Marie Alice Wright, 65, Frazee, MN, will be held Monday, July 13, 2009, at 11 a.m., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee, MN with Father Xavier Ilango officiating. Burial will follow the service at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Frazee. Visitation is scheduled at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee on Sunday, July 12, 2009, from 4-7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., and also 1 hour prior to the service at the church. After a 2 year battle with cancer, Marie died at her home in rural Frazee on Wednesday July 8, 2009 with great spirits, under the care of Red River Valley Hospice.
Marie Alice Wright, was born on October 5, 1943, in Presque Isle, Maine to Leo and Geneva (Perkins) Nadeau. She was married to Gary Wright on March 17, 1962 in Presque Isle, Maine. She loved fishing, bowling, family and friends. She worked as a waitress, nursing assistant, and was co-owner of A&W Small Engine Repair for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Gary Wright Sr. of Frazee; sons, Mike (Beth) Wright, Gary (Tiffany) Wright Jr.; daughters, Peggy (Bob) Jay, Holly (Oscar) Ehrnst, Kathy (Scott) Bransdale, Mary (Randy) Mayfield; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Veronica (Karl) Farley; and brothers, Leo (Penny) Jr. Nadeau and Joe (Caroline) Nadeau.
Preceding her in death is her infant son; her parents Leo and Geneva Nadeau; sister, Ruth Good; and brother, Marcel Nadeau.
