Levi Grant Johnson, 86, died October 20, 2012, at the Minnesota Veterans Home, Fergus Falls, MN.
Levi was born July 13, 1926, to Helmer and Alfreda (Susag) Johnson near Binford, ND. He was united in marriage to Hazel Richter on October 22, 1949, in Frazee, MN. He farmed near Frazee, worked at the Perham Co-op Oil Co., and retired from the US Postal Service after 25 years as a rural mail carrier.
Levi is survived by his wife, Hazel Johnson, Fergus Falls, MN; a daughter, Barbara (Jim) Nordstrom, Fergus Falls, MN; grandchildren, Sarah Perilla, Bloomington, MN, Grant Nordstrom, Fridley, MN, Jason Nordstrom, Moorhead, MN, Michael (Brenda) Nordstrom; great grandchildren Hanna, Haley, Abby, Noah, and Jada Nordstrom; a sister, Eleanor Ramsey, Cooperstown, ND, brothers Walter (Vi) Johnson, Port Angeles, WA, and Mencer (Beverly) Johnson of Aitkin, MN; a sister-in-law Marian Flatau, Frazee, MN, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Vicki Perilla, in 2007, his parents Helmer & Alfreda Johnson, and siblings, Nina Trostad, Helen Shaw, Johnny Johnson, Lester Johnson, Arnold Johnson, Hillard Johnson, and Norris Johnson.
Visitation: Thursday, October 25, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. at Furey Funeral Home, Frazee, MN. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
Funeral: Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Frazee, MN.
