LeRoy Dack

LeRoy A. Dack, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Frazee Care Center.

LeRoy Albert Dack was born June 22, 1941, in Sandstone, Minnesota to William L Dack and Phyllis W (Creighton) Dack and passed away at the age of 82, on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Frazee Care Center, in Frazee, Minnesota.

LeRoy lived in several small towns throughout Minnesota in the course of his life; and mostly worked as a CDL Truck driver in his younger years and retired from Marvin Windows and Doors in Tennessee as a Supervisor of Patio Door Assembly. He married Marilyn L Hegstad, Nov. 14, 1961. He met and married Darlene J (Smith) Wifler, made vows at a prior date and renewed official vows Dec 31, 1985. 

LeRoy loved to fish, working on cars and anything mechanical where he could use his hands. He enjoyed traveling to visit with distant family and friends across Minnesota and anywhere within the United States. He enjoyed attending his family reunions each year when able, whether they were in Milica, MN or Mora, MN.

He is survived by: Children: Micheal Dack, Tony Dack and Deon Dack; Stepchildren: Sherrie (Mapstone) Davis, Jeannie (Mapstone) Phyle (Daniel). Grandchildren: Tyler A Dack, Step-Grandchildren: Mark Phyle, Cole Mapstone (Eleysha), Jason Phyle, Nicole Lentz, Marty Lentz, Kelcey (Mapstone) Kamm (Nick). Siblings: Winifred (Dack) Berthold (Victor), Willis Dack (Sharon), Gary Dack (Susan), Duwane Dack (Jeanette), Mavis (Dack) Strelow, Donna (Dack) Miller (Richard), Darrell Dack and many extended family.

He is proceeded in death by his Wife: Darlene (Smith, aka: Wifler) Dack; Parents: William and Phylis; Daughter: Kristine Dack; Step-Children: Eddie Mapstone, Gary Mapstone, Mark Mapstone (Sarah); Step-Son-in-Law: Daniel Phyle (Jeannie); Granddaughter: Ariana Dack; Siblings: LaVonne (Dack) Tylewski (Dale), Lloyd Dack (Judy), Tom Dack (Janie), Myron Dack (Joyce), Gene Dack (Betty); Brother-in-laws: Dale Tylewski (LaVonne), Richard Miller (Donna), Sisters-in-law: Janie Dack (Tom) and many extended family.
