Kyle Quittschreiber

Kyle Kevin Quittschreiber was born April 9, 1992 in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Kevin and Kathy (Urbach) Quittschreiber. He passed away August 24, 2018 at his home in Frazee, MN, as a result of a skid steer accident.

He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Faith at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vergas. Kyle grew up on Rose Lake near Vergas and attended Frazee High School graduating in 2011. He was active in FFA serving as President and was the captain of the Frazee Hornet Football team. He continued his education receiving his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota Crookston.

Kyle went on to Alexandria Law Enforcement School before accepting a position with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. He later was accepted and graduated from Warden Academy at Camp Ripley. Kyle began his career as a conservation officer in Blackduck before returning home to Frazee to work in the Detroit Lakes District.

He served on the Vergas Rescue squad and enjoyed buying and selling cars, boats and boat motors. We called him the Craigslist King. He especially enjoyed hunting and fishing, a passion that helped him find his calling in life to become a Conservation Officer. Once he achieved his dream he referred to his boat as his office. He loved long coffee visits and family bonfires. Kyle was a great big brother, an amazing son, and a role model to many cousins; which he loved dearly.

Kyle is survived by his parents: Kathy and Kevin Quittschreiber of Vergas; sister: Kayla Quittschreiber and fiancée Sam Oelfke of New Prague; his great loves: Brittney Sletten and son Carson of Frazee; grandparents: Larry and Patty Urbach of Vergas; Norman Quittschreiber of Frazee; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family and countless friends, as well as, his Blue/Brown/Green Jeans family.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Mildred Quittschreiber.
