Judy Lee Parson was born August 16, 1945 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the daughter of Hugo and Rose (Ronhovde) Parson. She passed away November 10, 2020 in Fargo, North Dakota.
She grew up in Elbow Lake and graduated from Elbow Lake High School with the class of 1963. She continued her education at the University of Minnesota.
On May 19, 1968, Judy was united in marriage to Marvin Enslin at The Presbyterian Church in Elbow Lake. They made their home in Frazee for the past 40 years. Judy was a loving mother, caring for and keeping up with her children through all phases of their lives. She was an excited and proud grandmother. Additionally, she was an adult caregiver and a Curves physical trainer.
Judy was a member of the Congregational Church, UCC, in Detroit Lakes, Order of the Eastern Star (OES) in Olive Branch Chapter #114, Detroit Lakes and Moorhead Chapter #164, Moorhead. She served the Grand Chapter of MN, OES, as an appointed officer in 1979-80. Judy enjoyed quilting, holiday decorating, and was a wonderful cook who loved to experiment with old and new recipes. She excelled at organizing people and projects, making lists and accomplishing tasks, but always took time to gather and connect with friends and family, often over a cup of coffee and a treat!
She is survived by her husband: Marvin Enslin of Frazee; daughter: Beth Brown (Jordan Stradtman) of Brooklyn Park; son: Eric Enslin of Medfield, Massachusetts; grandchildren: Anna and Nicholas Enslin; twin sister: Jean (Richard) Kvols of Madison, MN.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents: Hugo and Rose Parson, and her son-in-law: Mike Brown.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to the Congregational United Church of Christ in Detroit Lakes, Grand Chapter of Minnesota OES scholarship program, Lakes Area Crisis and Resource Center.
