Harold Wilkinson

Harold Gustave Wilkinson, age 86, passed away on October 8, 2020, peacefully in his home.

Harold Wilkinson was born on July 10, 1934, in Perkins County, SD to Harvey and Lydia (Smith) Wilkinson. He was the youngest of eight children and he helped on the family farm growing up. He eventually took over the farm and ran it for 41 years before moving to Frazee, MN in 1975.

When Harold was 15, he met the person that would become the love of his life, Esther Bingaman, and they were united in marriage on June 9, 1964 in South Dakota. In 1978, the couple purchased a farm in Frazee and have farmed many different animals including pigs, cattle, sheep and goats.

He was part of the rescue of the Lost TD24 in Island Lake and was active in assisting removing the crawler from the mud.

He enjoyed antiquing and was a part of the Pioneer Group in Perham. He was a man of many talents like welding, fixing machinery, and playing guitar. He and his wife Esther even started a band, the Frazee Country Bunch.

Deeply loved Harold’s passing will be mourned by his wife of 56 years, Esther; his adopted grandkids: AJ Lepisto and Lacie Labbe; his sister: Bessie Campbell of AZ; numerous nieces and nephews; Buddy the cat, and all of the cows.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents: Harvey and Lydia; and his siblings: Glen (Alice) Wilkinson, Daisy Wilkinson, Violet (Bob) Krambeer, Lila (Bryce) White, Dorothy (Gerald) Spangler, and Stanley (Patricia) Wilkinson.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at the Furey Funeral Home in Frazee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 13, from 5 to 7:00 PM at the Furey Funeral Home in Frazee.
