Gloria Jean Huston

It is with a mix of sadness and joy that we share that Gloria Jean Huston (Duba) went to be with her Lord on March 13, 2024 in Perham, MN at the age of 77. Wife of the late Rich Huston, Gloria was born on April 15, 1947 in Mitchell, SD to Frances Schauss. Following her birth, she was adopted by Ruth and Bernard Duba who raised her in a loving home. 

Married to Rich for over fifty years and loving mother to three sons, Gloria lived most of her adult life in Minnesota. She had a great appreciation for art and culture. In particular, she was an avid fan of British film and television, as well as anglophile mysteries. But more than anything, Gloria was a committed follower of Jesus Christ, growing in love and devotion to Him as her Lord and Savior throughout her entire life. 

Gloria is survived by her sons Roger, Chris and Jeff Huston, brothers Gary and Wayne Duba, sisters Debi Schauss, Becky Schauss Bulfer, and Laurie Schauss Wilson, and brother Steven Schauss, and the extended Huston/Huddleston family whom she loved deeply. 

Due to health challenges that her eldest son Roger was facing in Tulsa, OK at the time of her death in March, services for Gloria were delayed until Roger was able to travel. Now with Roger recovered, the family has been able to confirm a date for a Memorial service. In April, Gloria was interred alongside her husband Rich at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, MN.

The memorial service for Gloria Huston will be held at Schoeneberger Funeral Home, 100 Jake Street, Perham, MN 56573, on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 10 AM with Pastor Larry Vosika officiating. Memorial visitation will be one hour prior. Burial has taken place at the Minnesota Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls, MN on April 15, 2024.
