George was born March 1, 1941, the 5th of 11 children born to Howard and Vera (Moore) Krieger on the family farm in Frazee. George was a great brother and companion to his many siblings who he held lasting bonds with. George grew up and attended Frazee High School. Following his schooling, George took to truck driving which he held for 22 years. He then went on to work for Sanders Station in Frazee for the next 15 years; where he enjoyed his job as a mechanic. Finally, George took a job with Northern Contours where he worked until his health forced him into retirement after 13 years on the job.
George was a wonderful Dad to his daughter, Karen. He was also a proud grandpa and cherished the time he spent with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his role as an uncle and dedicated himself to being a great uncle. George also loved to fish, during both summer and winter months, especially when in the company of his brothers. This was a hobby they have enjoyed doing together since childhood. George was a man who went nowhere without a beloved baseball cap, and he had quite the collection of them. He also liked working on cars which made his job at Sanders even more enjoyable.
He is survived by his daughter, Karen (Kirk) Hanson of Fergus Falls, MN; 2 grandchildren, Josie & Jena of Fergus Falls; 3 step-grandchildren: Brandy, Kaila & Elise all of Fergas Falls; 5 siblings: Jerry (Phyllis) of Garrison, MN, Alan (Denise) of Hillman, MN, Ken (Pam) of Coon Rapids, MN, Joe (Debbie) of Glenco, MN and Kathy Krieger of Hopkins, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings.
