Join us as we remember and celebrate George "Terry" Jepson, a remarkable soul who graced this world from August 26, 1947, until his parting on April 15, 2025. Terry was born in the serene surroundings of Detroit Lakes, MN, where the roots of his life began to take hold, setting the stage for a story filled with love, artistry, and resilience.

Raised in Frazee, MN and a graduate of Frazee High School, Terry’s decades of hard work were later illuminated by his career, which saw him dedicate himself to the craft of carpentry, specializing hardwood floor installation with Dave's Floor and Sanding & Installation, alongside numerous other carpentry jobs he held throughout the years.

Beyond the workshop, Terry was the joyful spirit of many gatherings. With a heart of gold, he shared his warmth among family and friends, each moment a testament to his adoration for those nearest to him. The laughter that sprang from the stories and jokes he told will echo in the hearts of those who cherished him, a reminder of a man who loved to share a good laugh.

A proud military veteran, Terry served in the Army during the Vietnam conflict from 1967 to 1969, taking his place among the ranks of the 870th Transportation Company. His dedication to his country was matched only by his commitment to his family, which included three beloved daughters, Sara [Travis] Roy and Rachel [Michael] Bennett and Ashley Jepson. Although life took him through the complexities of marriage and divorce, the love for his immediate and extended families never waivered.

Terry held a fierce passion for life, reflected not only in his work, but in the hobbies he pursued. Riding motorcycles alongside his cousins through gentle winds, sleeping under the stars in the open deserts of the southwest, and journeying to the west coast to bond with family; these were the moments that colored Terry’s existence. The tranquility he found while watching wildlife from his home in Wolf Lake captured the true essence of his love of nature.

The remaining members of his family—his sisters Doreen [David] Mohs and Bonnie Desjarlais, along with his grandchildren, Kaleb, Kody, Niveah, Dax, Colt, Jeremy, Lily, Hayden, Brett, and Courtney—will carry his legacy forward, their lives touched immeasurably by his presence.

Terry now joins his family members who have passed before him – daughter, Ashley Jepson; his parents, George and Evelyn Jepson; sister, Carol Jepson; brothers, Roy and Mark Jepson; his nephews, Jason Mohs and Wesley Stalboerger; niece, Michele Seifert; as well as two beloved cats, Tommy and Kitty. Each name brings forth a connection, each memory a thread woven into the vast tapestry of his family, friendships, and shared experiences.

Terry’s final journey will be celebrated at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee, MN, where friends and family are invited to pay their respects with a time of food and fellowship on April 19, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A graveside service to lay Terry to rest will be held immediately following, as he is reunited with other family members at Pickett Cemetery of Evergreen.
