Florence Harriet Collett, died at Frazee, MN, at the Frazee Care Center on June 2, 2015. She was 100 years and 7 months old.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, June 5, 2015 at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee, MN. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
Funeral Mass will take place 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee. Visitation will begin one hour prior to mass at the church on Tuesday.
Florence was born to Leo and Bertha (Miller) Fischer on October 24, 1914. She married George Collett on May 2, 1946. They were life-long residents of Frazee. George and Florence moved to town and lived there until Florence moved to the Frazee Care Center on December 2, 2002.
Florence enjoyed playing cards, bingo and fishing. She was also an avid gardener.
Florence worked at the Frazee Turkey Plant for many years.
She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Christian Mothers at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee.
Florence is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband, George, January 1982; 1 brother, Elmer Fischer; 3 sisters: Caroline (William) Brekke, Rose (Clarence) Meadows, and Margaret (Merle) Erickson.
