Donald Fiebelkorn

Donald Leslie Fiebelkorn was born July 13, 1934, in Frazee, Minnesota, the son of Reinhold and Ethel (Stewart) Fiebelkorn. He passed away June 27, 2020, at his home in Frazee, Minnesota.

He grew up and attended school in Frazee. Don proudly served his country in the United Sates Army receiving his honorable discharge in 1956. He returned home and worked for Madison Silo Company in Detroit Lakes.

On August 28, 1965, he was united in marriage to Jeannette “Jan” Grommesh at the First Congregational Church in Detroit Lakes. They made their home in rural Frazee and farmed until 1998.

Don was a member of the V.F.W. and the United Methodist Church in Frazee. He was a kindhearted man who enjoyed reading and visiting with people.

He is survived by his children: Cindy (Dennis) Weinkauf of Wausau, Wisconsin; Brad (Pam) Nelson of Perham; Karl (Pam) Fiebelkorn of Frazee; grandchildren: Amanda Hayes, James Perrine, Rebecca Nelson, and Jericho Nelson; great grandchildren: Katelynn Hayes, Jeanette Smith, Natalia Smith; siblings: Dale Fiebelkorn, Carole Erickson; niece: Dace Porter.

Don was preceded in death by his parents: Reinhold and Ethel Fiebelkorn; twin-sisters Elaine and Jane in infancy; brother: Jerold Fiebelkorn.
