Doloris was born May 20, 1929, in Corliss, MN, to Herman and Edna (Butzke) Eiswald. She grew up attending country school in Corliss, eventually moving to Bertha, MN, graduating from Bertha High School with the class of 1947. Doloris was united in marriage to Gottlieb "George" Weidemann on July 25, 1947, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Bertha. The couple made their home on a farm in Evergreen where they raised 4 children: Marion, Dennis, Lynn and Diane. In 1971, when her children were school age, she began working at Swift's. She worked there until 1974, when she began working at Tuffy's in Perham. She worked there until retiring in 1994. As a farm wife, Doloris also kept busy helping on the farm and caring for her family. She was a great cook and baker, with her dumplings and fresh baked bread being some of the family favorites.
Doloris was very frugal and always looking for good deals, even going as far as sewing her own clothing. She was a great sale shopper and coupon clipper. She enjoyed hunting during her younger years, and loved a good game of cards; especially when playing Rummy with her children and grandchildren or pinochle with friends. Following her retirement, Doloris and George took a trip to Orlando, Florida where they spent a week enjoying their first real vacation together. Doloris and George also traveled to Oregon, Michigan, South Dakota and Indiana where they enjoyed time spent with family. Doloris' life was saddened by the passing of her husband, George, in 2002.
In 2004, Doloris made her home at the Frazee Care Center. In recent years, she had come to enjoy watching Hallmark Movies, watching games shows such as Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, and staying busy doing crossword puzzles, word finds, Domino games, and reading Reader's Digest. Doloris was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church - Evergreen.
