Delores Drewes

Delores Diana Drewes was born December 10, 1935 in Perham, Minnesota, the daughter of Henry and Ella (Steeke) Fiedler. She passed away peacefully Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Frazee Assisted Living in Frazee, MN.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church Corliss township and graduated from Perham High School with the class of 1953.

On September 27, 1957 she was united in marriage to Delbert Drewes at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They made their home in Frazee and raised their children: Dean, Dawn, Danita, and Deanne.

She worked with Del in his construction company, and volunteered at the Frazee Care Center for over 35 years. Delores was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church active with LWML, quilting, the church library, and teaching Sunday school, release time, and vacation bible school.

Delores collected angels, loons, enjoyed flowers, gardening, humming birds and going for walks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and attending her grandchildren activities and sporting events.

She is survived by her children: Dean (Wanda) Drewes of Perham; Dawn (Ron) Zitzow of Detroit Lakes; Danita (Kraig) Ketter of Frazee; Deanne (Les) Roerick of Frazee; grandchildren: Tyler (Amy) Drewes, Stacey (Todd) Hummel, Corey Zitzow, Ryan Zitzow, Jackie (Zack) Patmore, Derek Zitzow, Jordan Ketter and Jaden Ketter, Carissa Roerick, Cody (Jessica) Roerick, Carter (Elizabeth) Roerick; 9 great grandchildren and three on the way; sisters: Judith Drewes of Frazee; Edith Amundson of Perham; brother: David (Diane) Fiedler of Perham; special sister-in-law: Madeline (Jake) Yliniemi of Park Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Delbert Drewes, parents: Henry and Ella, sisters: Rosella Swenson and Ellaine Loveridge, and two brothers and a sister in infancy.
