Darlene Uselman

Darlene Frances Uselman, age 76, formerly of Wadena, MN, passed away August 11, 2022, at Frazee Care Center in Frazee, MN.

Visitation: Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 5-7:00p.m. at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee with a prayer service at 7p.m.

Memorial Mass: Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11:00a.m. held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frazee with visitation one-hour prior.

Darlene Frances Uselman was born February 9, 1946 in Wadena, Minnesota, the daughter of Leonard and Mabel (Kirschner) Heltemes.

She was baptized and confirmed at St. Hubert Catholic Church in Bluegrass and graduated from Sebeka High School.

On May 24, 1985 Darlene was united in marriage to Chris Uselman at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Wadena. They made their home in Wadena and Darlene worked at Lund Boat.

Darlene worked as a bookkeeper and over the years as they made their home in Detroit Lakes, South Dakota, and recently Perham.

She enjoyed fishing, needle point, visiting the casino, and spending time at the lake. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Darlene is survived by her husband: Chris Uselman of Perham; sons: Morris Benson, Chad Uselman, Larry Uselman; grandchildren: Christian Uselman, Cameron Uselman, Zach Uselman, Mike Uselman; siblings: Leonard (Sue) Heltemes, Keith Heltemes; nieces and nephews and other extended family.

She was preceded in death her parents: Leonard and Mabel Heltemes, and a sister in infancy.
