April Marie Stenger was the 26 year old daughter of Tim and Sue Stenger born on April 21, 1989 in Detroit Lakes, MN. She was welcomed home by her older sisters Tami and Jessie and her brother Chris. She spent endless days growing up on the lake enjoying life to its fullest with family, cousins, and friends. She had a vibrant and bubbly personality with a smile and that would always brighten your day.
She attended school in Frazee and graduated in 2007. She graduated from MSUM in 2012 with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
April was very active throughout high school with volleyball, basketball, church youth group, along with various other activities that allowed her to share her tremendous love for family and friends. Her love of volleyball continued throughout her life, picking up a ball every chance she could. April wore her heart on the outside for all to know and had a great love she shared for everyone. Her family and friends were her cherished treasure, along with her beautiful children at Early Explorers, where she worked. She loved children and was extremely close to all her kids, was a wonderful teacher, and made it easier for parents to go work each day.
April also very much enjoyed her second job working at the Roadhouse Bar and Grill as a waitress. Working with people made her happy. When she was younger, she also waitressed at Four Corners.
April enjoyed time spent with her kids at the center, the endless hours of volleyball played with the best of friends, and the treasured moments of weddings, picnics, birthday parties, and gatherings with family whom loved her as much as she loved them. April's heart over-flowed with love and generosity. She mostly enjoyed the summertime hours of endless lake fun and to end the day with a wild, laughter filled hayride. April lived life to the fullest right up until her untimely death. We know in our hearts she is in heaven helping God take care of all the babies.
April is survived by her Mom and Dad; sisters: Tami (Brant) Bigger and Jessie (Tim) Lovich; brother Chris (Kara); her boyfriend Troy Lade; and nieces: Hailey, Hannah, Cora, and soon to arrive baby Stenger; nephews: Blake and Rylan; grandparents Arlene and Hank Schreiner; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
April is preceded in death by grandparents Joe and Margaret Stenger, her aunt Genny (Stenger) Klinefelter, cousin Bob Stroschein, uncle Tom Wosika.
