Alice L. Frank, 98, resident of Frazee, MN died Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at the Frazee Care Center.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 27 at 11AM in Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Frazee. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Alice Lena Schmaltz was born March 16, 1917 in Toad Lake Township, rural Frazee, to Fred and Bertha (Neske) Schmaltz. She was raised near Toad Lake and attended West Toad Lake School District #73. For a short time, Alice was married to Emil Frank. She was employed for many years as a waitress at Sue Dunn's CafAC. in Frazee. She also worked at Swift's Turkey Plant as a processor.
Alice was an avid gardener. She enjoyed spending her free time in her garden growing everything from berries to vegetables. She made a wonderful jelly that she shared with family and friends over the years. In the fall she enjoyed canning whatever was left from her harvest that year. Alice was a dear friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her.
Alice is survived by her family and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents and one brother.
