Adele L. Schrupp, 86, Frazee, MN, formerly of Vergas, died Friday at the Frazee Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 10 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vergas, Reverend Robert Hinckley, officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call 4:00 - 7:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church in Vergas. The visitation will continue 1 hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday.
Adele Luvern Schrupp was born August 3, 1925, in Corliss Township near Perham, MN to William and Lucille (Johnson) Butzke. She is a 1942 graduate of Perham High School and worked at a number of places in Dent, MN following her graduation. Adele was united in marriage to Milton Schrupp August 3, 1946, in Perham, MN. They made their home in Vergas where Adele worked at serveral places, including many years with the Post Office. She served as the Vergas Postmaster 1980-1990. Milton died in 2002.
Adele was an active member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Ladies Aide and taught Sunday School. She also enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren; was a member of the homemakers club, knitting club and enjoyed dancing.
Survivors include 2 sons: Larry (Elaine) of Vergas, Douglas of Vergas, 2 daughters: Susan Stone and Kristi (Ardell) DeBerg all of Vergas; 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Tamara Schrupp, a great grandson, Reed Bachmann, a brother, Willis Butzke and a sister: Violette Philipanko.
